What is Article Horizon and what is its purpose?
Article Horizon is a fast growing online article directory that contains a huge variety of articles on any given topic. In order add your article to our database, you will have to register at this page.

Are there any fees, charges, etc?
No! There are no membership fees or any kind of hidden charges - our directory is totally free and open to everyone!

Why don't you let anonymous users post articles?
While we require authors to register, we do not require them to provide any personal information, besides a valid eMail address. The registration, on the other hand, provides authors with the ability to edit or remove their articles in the future, as well as to rate other articles and post comments regarding them.

I forgot my password! What should I do?
Please do not create multiple accounts every time this happens. Instead, you should use our password recovery service. After you enter your eMail address (the one you used to register at Article Horizon), the letter will be sent to you, containing your account details.

Can I insert pictures in my bio?
Yes, but make sure they are relevant to your biography (i.e. personal photograph) and comply with our size requirements as described below.

What can I do in order to maximize my article's web exposure?
The easiest (yet very effective) way to attract visitors to your articles is by submitting them to social bookmarking directories. To do that, you can go to the page where your article is located, scroll down to the "Share this article" section, and follow the links under that section. Note, that most directories will require you to register, before you can bookmark your articles with them.

What kind of RSS feeds do you provide?
Our RSS feed generator is extremely flexible. You can specify a number of options (e.g. categories of interest, number of items per feed, and required keywords) in order to completely customize your feed, and get exactly the articles you want. Follow this link to get your personal RSS feed!

What kind of articles am I allowed to post?
Article Horizon accepts any kind of meaningful articles that comply with copyright laws and are written for human readers, rather that automated web-crawlers. Please consult our terms of use for more details.

What formatting tags are available at Article Horizon?
Article Horizon does not allow HTML tags, but few common UBB tags are permitted to help structure articles, author's bio, etc. The following tags are currently allowed:

[b] - Bold text. Any text placed between [b] and [/b] becomes bold.
[i] - Italic text. Any text placed between [i] and [/i] becomes italic.
[u] - Underlined text. Any text placed between [u] and [/u] becomes underlined.
[url] - Creates a hyperlink. When the address is specified, any text placed between [url=ADDRESS] and [/url] becomes a hyperlink, pointing to "ADDRESS". For example, [url=http://articlehorizon.com]Article Directory[/url] would turn into: Article Directory.
[img] - Inserts an image. For example, [img=http://articlehorizon.com/images/lake.jpg] would turn into:
WARNING! Please do not use images wider than about 500 pixels, for it will not fit into the page! Articles containing larger images will be removed or edited to meet this requirement.
[left] - Aligns the text, placed between [left] and [/left] to the left.
[center] - Aligns the text, placed between [center] and [/center] to the center.
[right] - Aligns the text, placed between [right] and [/right] to the right.
[quote] - Creates a quotation. Any text placed between [quote] and [/quote] will look as follows:This is a quote.

Why has my article or bio been edited or reformatted?
The most likely reason is that your article contained some inappropriate content, language, oversized images, or was difficult to read due to poor formatting.

Can my article contain links to my web business or affiliate links?
Yes, as long as your article serves some purpose other that just advertising or promoting a certain business or product. Articles with no useful information will be removed from our directory, however, you can place your links at our link directory, or in your author's bio.
